Steven Shakno,
President

For 25 years, Steven Shakno has helped businesses grow. He has been an executive recruiter for 15 of those years. Before founding Strategic Search International in 2001, Mr. Shakno was a Principal of Heidrick & Struggles, at the time the world's largest executive search firm.

Mr. Shakno's search experience includes companies in the industrial, retail, services, consumer, real estate, distribution and technology industries. He has conducted a variety of search assignments for CEOs, Chief Operating Officers, Presidents, Board Members, General Managers and other key executive roles. In addition, he has led U.S. based searches for international clients from England, Scotland, France, and Japan. In 1998 he worked with Heidrick & Struggles' Chairman Gerry Roche in conducting the Chief Executive Officer search for Australia's largest company. The search was hailed by USA Today as "A search that truly spanned the planet."

Each search is unique. A client's size, business challenges, location, and culture mean that a candidate right for one company does not necessarily fit another. Therefore, fresh perspective and resources are needed to assure that the right candidates are identified and recruited for your needs. Strategic Search uses its proprietary database, national databases, contacts, resources, and directories as well as a global team of researchers to assist Mr. Shakno in the identification of candidates.

Fees

Companies, not individuals, retain Strategic Search International to conduct the search on an exclusive basis. Our retainer search fee for companies is one-third of the first year total cash compensation.
